Refunds & withdrawal

The short version

  • Full refund within 14 days of purchase, as long as you have not accepted the GitHub repository invite.
  • Accepting the invite delivers the kit. From that moment the 14-day right of withdrawal no longer applies, because you asked for immediate access and confirmed at checkout that you would lose it (Art. 16(m) Directive 2011/83/EU, § 356(5) BGB).
  • After delivery, you still get a fix or a refund if the kit has a real defect or isn't what the site describes. Your statutory rights always apply.

Who sells Quinq

Quinq is sold through Polar (Polar Software, Inc.), which acts as merchant of record. Polar takes the payment, handles taxes and pays out refunds. The product and its license come from Frexes (Hela Azzabi, Berlin). See the Polar buyer terms.

Withdraw from your purchase

You can withdraw within 14 days of purchase, as long as you have not accepted the GitHub invite. No reason needed.

We use the data you enter only to handle your withdrawal and refund, and to prove that we received it (Art. 6(1)(b) and (c) GDPR). It is sent by email through Resend and stored in Airtable. Details in the privacy policy.

You can also email [email protected] from your checkout address, send the model withdrawal form, or contact Polar at [email protected].

Refunds go back to your original payment method, through Polar, within 14 days of your request. You pay no fees for it.

What happens after a refund

Your access to the private repository is removed and your license ends. Delete any copies of the code you may have.

Defects and "not as described"

If something is broken or missing compared to what this site promises, write to us. We'll first try to fix it. If we can't within a reasonable time, you get a refund, partial or full depending on the problem. This is on top of your statutory rights, not instead of them.

What isn't a reason for a refund after delivery

  • Changing your mind after accepting the invite.
  • A new Expo, React Native, iOS or Android release that the kit doesn't support yet. The kit follows those releases, but not on day one.
  • Features listed under "Not included" on the home page.

Withdrawal notice

This applies if you buy as a consumer, meaning for purposes outside your trade, business or profession. You can send a withdrawal to us or to Polar; either works, and we handle the refund through Polar.

Right of withdrawal

You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason.

The withdrawal period will expire after 14 days from the day of the conclusion of the contract.

To exercise the right of withdrawal, you must inform us (Frexes (Quinq), Hela Azzabi, Sommerstr. 33b, 13409 Berlin, Germany, [email protected]) of your decision to withdraw from this contract by an unequivocal statement (e.g. a letter sent by post or an email). You may use the model withdrawal form below, but it is not obligatory. You can also write to Polar at [email protected].

To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.

Effects of withdrawal

If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse to you all payments received from you without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw from this contract. We will carry out such reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement. Your access to the repository and your license end with the withdrawal.

Early expiry of the right of withdrawal

Quinq is digital content not supplied on a physical medium. Your right of withdrawal ends early once delivery has begun, provided you (1) expressly agreed at checkout that delivery starts before the withdrawal period ends, (2) acknowledged that you lose your right of withdrawal once delivery starts, and (3) received a confirmation of this by email (§ 356(5) BGB, Art. 16(m) Directive 2011/83/EU).

For Quinq, delivery happens when you accept the GitHub invite to the private repository. Until you accept it, you can withdraw within the 14 days. See access consent.
